Arriving in Australia!

So it's official we have immigrated to Australia and landed here in beautiful Sydney on the evening of the 7th of October 2020. What an incredible journey of highs and lows... of waiting for our turn and here we are. Two weeks of quarantine left us all with some cabin fever and a few kilograms heavier... but, when the day arrived, 21 October couldn't be any sweeter!

We left feeling excited and anxious about what would await us outside. Sydney was BIG and beautiful! Blue skies, friendly folk saying 'How you going?' and our journey could finally start!

Finding our feet, down under

We were fortunate to know a few people who helped us along our way... with advice and boxes of treats and goodies and thank goodness for google maps otherwise we would have been totally lost finding a rental. We were so lucky that on our first day of viewings the last house we saw, was just what we were looking for and paperwork could get finalised quite quick, so we could get settled.

2+ months down the line and we have a sweet home, filled with beautiful (pre-loved Marketplace) furniture and a 2nd hand christmas tree... decorated with all the tinsel and baubles needed all gifted to us... Couldn't ask for anymore. Feeling blessed beyond words.
